Employer Responsibility
Under UK health and safety law, companies have a duty of care to ensure their drivers are competent. It should not be assumed that if a company vehicle has a current MOT and the driver a valid licence, then employees and other road users will be safe. Read the HSE's comprehensive guidelines on driver training requirements here.
Companies are also bound by The Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007. Download our free information sheet about this here.
