Taxi Training

Some local authorities require you to pass a taxi or private hire vehicle assessment prior to granting a licence. The test is more demanding than the practical test taken by learner drivers, with elements specific to driving a taxi or PHV. (source : Business Link)

D1 Minibus Training

If you passed your driving test before 1st January 1997, you are entitled to drive a minibus with a maximum of 17 seats, including the driver's seat. This is provided the vehicle is not being used for hire or reward. The entitlement is valid in the UK until your licence is next renewed. (source: www.directgov.uk)

If you passed your test after this date, you are now required to pass further training to gain a category D1 on your licence. SDTS can arrange minibus training for you with a fully approved instructor.
